About our Pastor…

My name is Grant Kolkow. I am married to my beautiful wife Linda and we have been blessed with four daughters, two sons, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren. I have had the privilege of ministering as a youth, associate, and senior pastor for seventeen years. I have served in Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, and Utah in various Baptist and independent Bible churches.

I received my Masters of Divinity degree in 2003 from the Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California. The reason for attending this school is because I appreciate the emphasis and direction of the ministry of John MacArthur. Currently I am a candidate in the Doctor of Ministry program at the same seminary.

Beyond the natural beauty of the Ogden and Northern Utah area, the desire of my family and I is to serve in an area where the availability of biblical ministry and churches are more limited. Utah is a good fit in that regard since seventy-five percent of the state’s population is associated in some manner to Mormonism. However, we want to reach out to non-Mormons in the community as well. With a commitment to expository preaching, to a biblical philosophy of ministry, and to reach the spiritually lost, my prayer is to make a contribution in the City f Ogden for the glory of Christ.

In addition to outings with my family, I enjoy reading (particularly theological works, Christian biographies, and the Puritans) and playing basketball. However, my greatest joy in life is in knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. That He would have mercy upon my undeserving soul and then call me into pastoral ministry are events that continue to humble and amaze me.
